The in-depth study of a broad range of international and historical textile traditions has greatly influenced my work. Knowledge gained from these histories, techniques, and art forms have equipped me to further explore and utilize a variety of woven and non-woven structures in my artwork. I use weaving and embroidery techniques to create patterns on canvas with thread. I also create large installations by stretching over 30,000 yards between walls and ceilings to create the illusion of a form floating in space.

I also have had the opportunity to participate in artist-in-residence programs at Gullkistan Residency for Creative People, Laugarvatn, Iceland and Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts, Gatlinburg, Tennessee.
